I've just powered up and got into the mainframe and now ive ended up in
an area with a seeker, I knock a small amount of health off it, it
dissapears and half a dozen nmes appear. Throuble is these nme knock
more health off than you can get back of them. Kill them all and the
damn seeker returns and usually finishes you off.

How on earth are you supposed to do this level? The seeker has
something like 1800 health and dissapears after only kicking someting
like 75 off it, sure you dont have to repeat this procedure over 25
times (killing something like 150 nmes?)

Use the Suffusion weapon against the Seeker. Hopefully, you've upgraded
it to gold level. If you have a Corrosion subroutine, that will also
help greatly. There's an unlimited health patch on one end of the test
grid, and an unlimited energy patch on the other end.

Always kill the Resource Hog programs first, then go after the Seeker.
Don't bother with the LOL rod or any of the disc weapons. The Ball
Launcher might also be useful, but I just stayed with the Suffusion rod.

I know you and a lot of people responded but I jsut can't see how this
works.

There must be something I'm missing. One thing is that I'm playing
this on the "Hard" setting.

Suffusion is way too short range. I never saw a corrode subroutine
anywhere. I have a gold primitive charge.

The problem is not the seeker. Its the damage I get from the Hogs.
What's the trick to getting them? They are too far to get head shots
with discs. When I take the time to do that I get nickel and dimed by
one of the others. The closer you get the more damage you get. The
first one is easy because I can predict where they spawn but after
that I get the living you know what shot out of me. I've gotten to the
third wave of them but my health dwindles and the health patch is not
unlimited.

Anyone got any help?

find cover as much as possible, and go for those head shots. even when
they're far it should only take a couple attempts to make contact.

usually i'd be firing at distant ones while i was running towards cover,
then one would be near me and i'd strafe around the cover, hit him from
behind, then duck behind the cover again. once you get into a routine it
becomes fairly easy

After replaying the game, I found that the Cluster disc was far more
useful than the Suffusion rod. The Cluster allows me to attack from much
longer range, and even at alpha strength there are very few enemies that
can survive more than 2 direct hits to the torso.

The corrode subroutine is dropped by some of the corrupted programs at
the end of the "system reformat" level.

Try using the Cluster disc. Keep those transparent cubes between you and
the Resource Hogs as you run toward them. After they fire a few bursts,
run out from behind the cubes and attack while they pause between
volleys.

i used the frag disc thing. i used that weapon most of the time
throughout the game. it works a darn treat. aim for the head, and you
can take out any regular enemy with one hit. just keep refilling
yourself on health and energy and stay focused. it doesn't take that
long

I use the Ball Launcher and stay near the Infinite Energy port. The trick is
to have as much armor on in that map as possible, and just the special
weapon. It's a piece of cake -- the strategy works with both Seeker maps,
the Thorne map (I use the LOL there -- it does more damage from a distance)
and the Amalgam Hacker in the very last map.

I think I pretty much used just the standard disc on this level (with the
subroutine that upgrades damage from all your primitives ... you might want
to upgrade that one as early as possible.) I just kept whaling on the
Seeker's head the second it appeared, and as long as you keep hitting it,
you can get in several shots in a row and it won't fire back at you. After
it disappears, deal with the Resource Hogs by keeping your distance as much
as possible and taking them out with headshots and using the square blocks
for cover. As the other poster said, there's an unlimited health recharge at
one end of the arena. Watch for the spot where the Seeker is going to pop up
again and make sure to start hitting it before it gets a shot off. Quicksave
is your friend.

Wait'll you have to fight a Seeker with a bunch of (spolier censored)
ragging on your ass... at least by then you'll have strong enough weapons to
put the Seeker down quickly.
