I was ejoying the Prey Demo until I got to the section called "Poor
Bastards". Those three zombie dudes are just walking back and forth putting
those canisters in the transporter or something. I can't figure out how to
get the hell out of there. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You need to blow something up! Something that might be obstructing
your exit from this room...

I'm stuck in the room after that where "E" gets me to some control
room where talon directs me to a panel that i push and the panel
graphic does a disconnect and an overhead tray moves to one side. Then
what? I did make it thorough the room with the 2 panels and the walkway
and the baddie, though I'm not sure what I did to make the activated
walkway actually work? I'm about to dump it for these stupid
puzzles.....and rejoin the work of my ancestors which is drinking beer
and picking fights.....

Spirit walk to the panel and hit the button so that the tray slids to the
right. Rejoiun your body and then walk onto the tray and stay there. Then
spirit walk back to the panel, hit the button again, and the tray will
carry your body over to the other side. Then you can rejoin your body
again and you'll have made it across.

Thanks. If its that "shield" in front of the door, I've unloaded about
everything I got and nothing happened.

Actually I rolled the egg into the chuckhole and blew it up at which
point I could descend. Only to get stuck in a loop between this strange
world and another...

I believe it's called "Second Chance." I must've missed something as I
can't get past the control room. Hints?

How many games do you get to write a tip like that for? Makes it worth
the money just for that :-)

And again for the record : how could anyone accuse this game of being
"yet another rehash"? Beats me.

I got it !

( Why you think Prey is the "bee's knees", at least since Quake 4,
which afair you were also raving about. After raving about HL2 of
course. Can't remember whether you raved about FEAR. You
remind me of a butterfly....)

Simple puzzles in a FPS are a novelty to you.

Hopefully the puzzles later in the full game are a little more
challenging. The only real puzzle in the demo seemed to be the
platform one. Otherwise they were of the variety "Shoot at something
or blow something up which you first might need to move."

I admit that the out-of-body ideas are good and very nicely integrated
into the game, And the clever revival element is a worthy addition. I
wonder if the revival element is curtailed in the full game at the
highest difficulty settings ?

( Why you think Prey is the "bee's knees", at least since Quake 4,
Q4 was a lot of fun. And also disproved a lot of fanboy drivel from the
likes of my "mate" *******o that Q4 couldnt do areas bigger than a gnats
chuff.

which afair you were also raving about. After raving about HL2 of
HL2 was awesome. Won a lot of awards too as I recall. Not too
complicated but refreshingly fast and fun. Highly innovative online
delivery system too : called "Mist" or something - you should try it -
means you dont get tied to some crappy scratchable master CD or revert
to virus ridden no-cd hacks.

FEAR bored the hole off me and, like Far Cry, I didnt finish it. At
least Far Cry had some novel elements. FEAR was a one trick pony with
the most boring game corridoors for a long time. Ditto for Riddick which
I recall you wetting your panties about fpr a while (probably until you
played it and realised it was a totally linear snorefest).

Not really : but Prey does them well. The grav boots and windwalking add
a nice variation. But then I dont play FPS to be unduly challenged : but
since I have the IQ of Einsteins smarter brother Eddie, puzzles are a
mere blip on my gaming radar.

We'll have to wait & see : interestingly, more than the platform one has
had a few posters perplexed :-; (And I must admit to taking a little
while to figure out that one too ...).

BTW, did you know that "Mist" is also a german word meaning "crap" ;)?

Come on Walter, lots of people here use no-cd cracks, myself included, and
when you get them from the right places, there is no virus danger at all.
